After the events of this entire week, I am reminded to keep my expectations in check and deal better with disappointments. I must learn to pick my battles and prioritise my energy with an eye on the big picture. Nothing is irreplaceable, permanent or definite both in the "bad" and "good" way. Back when I was still an innocent undergraduate, I said that this is the one and last time I would be taking statistics. How ironic that I will be taking my stats test today, which is 60% of this research and stats module. I have been feeling really happy recently... especially with regards to the relationship. There's a comfortable feeling between us. I am looking forward to all our days together. I learnt a term called hindsight bias, also called the "I knew it" phenomenon. But I still can't help but feel it that way. That I should have known that the more I want it, the more I work harder for it, the more I am not going to get it. Today is the first day of the last week of attachment, and strangely enough, the clinical instructor will be the same person as the previous semester's one.
